What is a BID?
A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led initiative where businesses and organisations, within a defined area, are invited to work together to make decisions and to take action.
The main aims of Barrow BID are:
- Create a Busier Barrow
- Create a Brighter Barrow
- Create a Better Barrow
Barrow BID is primarily funded by a BID levy based on the rateable value of the business’ premises, paid by all businesses within the BID zone. Associate Membership is offered to businesses outside the BID zone and gives them the opportunity to benefit from Barrow BID initiatives.
