Dockside Festival

Sunday 16th August 2026
About the event

The Dockside Festival is back for 2026, bringing seaside fun for all the family to the Dock Museum!

Enjoy a great day out by the sea at The Dockside Festival! With a great mix of music hosted by CandoFM, the “Champions of Lyric and Verse” Songsmiths providing improvised music throughout the day, and the returning Boom Dang to drum up a real seaside spirit!

And if you’re brave enough, you can step into the mouth of a Giant Whale! They say long ago this whale swallowed a crew of pirates, and tales can be heard from within the stomach to this day... Catch performances from the crew as they tell tales of the ocean throughout the day inside the whale.

With performances from Vikings, giant sandcastle making, crazy golf, and activities from our local charities and community groups, there's something for everything at The Dockside Festival.

Hop on a free vintage bus to make your way there, with a park and ride service running from Furness College Channelside. Disabled parking only will be available at The Dock Museum.
