Melanie Corrie (Chair) - Corrie & Co

Which business do you represent?

How long have you worked/had a business in the Town Centre?

I've worked in the town for many years but opened our Barrow branch, when my husband David and I formed Corrie and Co, in 2010.

Why did you get involved with Barrow BID?

I'm a passionate Barrovian, born and bred. The town centre is vital for all - young and old. I remember popping to town with my friends to spend pocket money, feeling so grown up. Back then, the town centre was buzzing with activity.  We need to support and maintain existing businesses whilst attracting a variety of new.  Keeping the town alive with a bustling hub of shops, cafes, restaurants and nightlife. is crucial. The business district has a part to play, I hope to bring support and focus.

Favourite BID event or project?

Tell us something most people wouldn't know about you?

I worked in Barrow Market on 'Brazington's' fruit and veg stall as a Saturday girl.
