What’s your favourite Barrow BID event?
My most favourite event has to be the soapbox, mainly because I get to make lots of foam and bubbles!! I’ve been involved with nearly all events which are fantastic, and I’ve also been involved with tidying up the town centre and the installation of the new planters.
Why did you get involved with Barrow BID?
I started volunteering for Barrow BID back in 2020 helping clean up the town and supporting their fantastic community events, which has now led to myself working within the BID team, and I’m very passionate about continuing to improve Barrow and supporting our local businesses.
Tell us something most people wouldn’t know about you?
My feet are 1 size smaller than Paul the BID Managers, I’m size 14 and he’s size 15, he’s also slightly taller, but I’m a whopping 6ft4” and I’ve recently lost 7.5 stone. I’m also a black belt in karate, watch out Jackie Chan! On a more serious note, I’ve been a business owner for many years and know the challenges every business faces.
