Two town centre businesses have joined forces to bring a creative workshop to the Dino Day Stamp Trail.
Shot At Photography on Scott Street will host a mini dinosaur painting workshop on Saturday 16th May as part of the Dino Day celebrations, with paints and brushes donated by local art and office supply store Heath’s on Dalton Road.
Owners Matt and Amelia have been busy 3D printing miniature dinosaurs ready for the weekend, with thousands expected to flock to the town centre for Dino Day. With Matt a pro at painting miniatures, this workshop is a chance to learn from an expert!
The workshop is part of the event’s Stamp Trail, where visitors receive a card to collect stamps at various town centre locations, each hosting a free activity. Completed cards can then be entered into the prize draw to win a fantastic dino themed prize.
The Stamp Trail gives businesses the opportunity to attract new customers, as event visitors explore the town centre and take part in free activities at venues they may not otherwise have visited. With a huge variety of activities this year, from painting to cookie decorating, there’s something for every interest.
Local businesses taking part in the Stamp Trail this year include Shot At Photography, Tina’s Cakes, The Works, South Lakes Game Exchange, Footwear and Fascinators, plus a secret bonus location which can be unlocked by downloading the Barrow Buzz app and checking out the Stamp Trail tour.
By partnering with Heath’s to deliver their creative workshop, Shot At Photography is championing the importance of collaboration over competition in an evolving high street environment. Even small partnerships can strengthen connections between businesses, creating opportunities to share successes, support one another, and combine expertise from different sectors.
