Barrow town centre comes alive this weekend as Barrow Music Week takes over! With live performances, exhibitions and more - celebrate Barrow's music scene. But that's not all, whether you're looking for a bargain or just something to keep the kids entertained, there's lots happening in the town centre.

Photos of Blur in their formative years have gone on display for Barrow Music Week! The 12 images were taken by drummer Dave Rowntree when the band was in its infancy.

The shots are now on display upstairs at Barrow Town Hall until Sunday 11 October. This is the very first time the images have been displayed in the north.

Dave took the images in 1989-90 - when Blur were relatively unknown. Although they’d just signed their first album deal the bandmates thought it unlikely they would actually make it. So Dave set about capturing the band enjoying their '15 minutes of fame' while it lasted...

5. Get crafting and celebrate World Mental Health Day
