New Website to Promote Events & Attractions in Barrow in Furness

Barrow BID have commissioned the design and development of a new website to promote Barrow in Furness to potential visitors. The site can be found at: 

The new website is aimed at local residents, day trippers, (up to 2 hours from Barrow) and holiday makers looking to make a base for a short or long term holiday in the area.

Initially the website will be used to promote the Tour of Britain which visits Barrow on September 7th 2018. The website will also be a platform for promoting local events, attractions and tourism businesses, including hotels, restaurants, leisure providers, pubs and clubs.

The new Visit Barrow brand will also be promoted on social media via a Visit Barrow Facebook page. The branding and web design was completed by local design company; Stephen Story Design, who submitted a range of options before settling on a modern corporate identity with the following slogan, 'There's More Than Meets The Eye In Barrow'.

Colin Garnett, BID Manager and ex Managing Director of Web Design and Marketing company, Red Abbey said, "Barrow BID love the new brand and think it reflects the town really well. We are known for building nuclear submarines which use some of the most advanced technology in the World. The fonts and colours in the logo portray a modern, engineering feel which complements the unique skills employed by BAE in the construction of Nuclear Submarines. The slogan 'There's More Than Meets the Eye' is a very accurate description of Barrow, as many people don't know we; have 60km of Coastline, are ranked no.1 for Nature in England, have our very own King who lives on an island with a castle, are home to a grey seal colony and have a wide range of shops, cafes, pubs and clubs, making Barrow a fantastic place to visit." 

Barrow BID will be adding content to the new Visit Barrow website over the coming months and making changes to the Barrow BID website which will focus more on information for local businesses.
