Barrow BID is looking to bring a touch of festive cheer across all sectors in the town centre by encouraging businesses to enter its Best Dressed Window Competition.
Usually centred around the retail sector, the BID is hoping that non-retail businesses will make an extra special effort this year and join in the Christmas spirit by dressing their windows too.
The theme for the windows is, quite simply… Christmas!!
The competition opens on Friday 8th December and will run for one week, closing on Friday 15th. During this time, members of the public will be asked to vote for a first, second and third place in each of four categories: national retailer; independent retailer; food & drink; non-retail.
Voting will open on this website on 8th December and will close at 6pm on Friday 15th December. Members of the public will also be able to pick up voting forms from The Forum.
The winners in each category will be presented with an engraved trophy, with the second and third placed businesses in each category receiving a framed certificate to display, hopefully in their winning windows! The winners will be announced on Saturday 16th December, with the prizes being presented by The Mayor of Barrow in a special ‘roving’ ceremony on 16th.
BID Manager, Phil Collier, said:
“This is a great opportunity for both local and national businesses to add a bit of good old Christmas cheer by brightening up the town centre. ”
Voting has now closed
